Swedish Church Christmas Fair

Thursday, November 18, 2010 - 11:00am - Sunday, November 21, 2010 - 5:00pm

Each year 150 people give their time and energy to help organise our Christmas Fair. The Fair has along history going back to the 1930s and it has since been enjoyed by around 6,000 people each year.

At the Fair you can buy very Swedish foods, such as Swedish bread, elg meat, reindeer filet and other Norrland delicacies, all sorts of sweets, candles, and every conceivable kind of Christmas decoration. You can take the weight off your feet in the cafeteria, enjoy open sandwiches, coffee and cake, and should you still be hungry there are hot dogs and glögg (Swedish punch).

We need helpers to set things up and to take things down, to serve in the cafeteria and to man the lucky dip, etc. The dates we need help are 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 November.

The Christmas Fair is an important ingredient in the church’s economy and we are extremely grateful for everybody’s interest and willingness to help. For more information see www.swedishchurch.com/
