All about Autumn

15/10/2009 - 9:07pm

October was possibly warm and sunny enough to be called Indian summer, but it's certainly changed when November rolled around! Time to put the heating on , if nothing else than to make sure the towels are warm in the morning! It's leaf kicking time.

The website and the shop on Crawford Street is well stocked with goodies and treats, as it should be for the up-coming indoor season, when all, at least I want to do is stay in with friends and family, eating and drinking. The lovely muffin cases from Kalasform are perfect for autumnal lunch boxes. the Nyblom and Kollen napkins and Kronljus candles - the only candles that don't smoke or stink - will cheer any dinner table and what could be better than to sink into your favourite chair, with a rug over your knees and a bag of Polly, and a gruesome crime novel? We have lots of new titles for young and old, including the popular Stieg Larsson, Henning Mankell or "Lassemajas Detektivbyrå" for wannabe Private Detectives

Prize Winning Salmon!
We are proud to announce that our superb fishman Ola Johnsson of Kiviks ÅL&Laxrökeri won the Gold Medal at the Smaklustmässan (Taste of Sweden) held in Stockholm in August, for his hot smoked salmon - the very same you can buy from TotallySwedish!
The jury's motivation was " Beautifully made, moist and with balanced seasoning and saltiness. Nice taste of fresh dill. Well chosen seasonings. Well smoked and prepared. Excellent craftsmanship!"
We really recommend that you try this salmon if you haven't already. We will as usual offer you to pre-order salmon and herrings for Christmas, so be sure to sign up!
