Swedish Roll Cake With Strawberries


Roll cake filled with strawberry jam and topped with fresh strawberries is delicious! This recipe is quick and easy to make, and it's suitable for both a fika break and dessert. 
Swedish Roll Cake With Strawberries
Serves approx. 15 pieces

Ingredients:
3 eggs
1½ dl granulated sugar
2 dl wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp water

Filling:
2 dl strawberry jam or lightly mashed mixed fresh strawberries

Method:
Preheat the oven to 250° or 225° hot air. Place baking paper in a 30x40 cm pan. 
Whisk the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Mix the flour and baking powder. Stir it into the batter together with the water. 
Spread the batter in the pan and bake immediately in the centre of the oven for about 5 minutes.
Turn the cake out onto a sugared baking tray. Remove the paper the cake was baked on. Spread the mash (or jam) over the cake and roll up. Leave to cool.
Cut the rolled cake into slices and serve with fresh berries and whipped cream.

Top tip! 
The roll cake can be varied with a variety of tasty fillings, such as different kinds of jam and/or fresh berries and fruits.
